PMB Portable
An error occurs when the USB cable is disconnected, or the “Memory Stick Duo” is ejected from the camera, while the PMB Portable is running.
A warning message from the security software appears when the PMB Portable is launched.
I cannot upload files to the network services.
Can I edit a Sharemark icon attached to a thumbnail of a media file using PMB Portable?
I performed scanning and fixing in the Windows Vista environment, but the message [Do you want to scan and fix Removable Disk (I:)?] appears when the camera and the computer are connected via the USB cable.
The message such as below may appear when the camera and the computer are connected via the USB cable in a Windows Vista environment:
[Do you want to scan and fix Removable Disk (I:)?]
Can I use the PMB Portable overseas?



An error occurs when the USB cable is disconnected, or the “Memory Stick Duo” is ejected from the camera, while the PMB Portable is running.
The USB cable should not be disconnected, or the “Memory Stick Duo” should not be ejected while the PMB Portable is running.
Before disconnecting the USB cable, or ejecting the “Memory Stick Duo” close the PMB Portable, then click [Safely Remove Hardware] ([Unplug or Eject Hardware] for Windows(R) 2000).

In the security software, change the settings to allow the PMB Portable and [SPUBuiltInAccessor.exe] to access the internet.

No, you cannot.
Sharemark icons can only be edited on the camera itself.

I performed scanning and fixing in the Windows Vista environment, but the message [Do you want to scan and fix Removable Disk (I:)?] appears when the camera and the computer are connected via the USB cable.
If this message appears even after you scan and fix following instructions given in the messages on the screen, go to the command prompt, and enter, for example, [chkdsk I: /f], if the drive letter of the camera's internal memory is “I”.

This may happen with Windows Vista. You can disregard this message and continue using the computer.
To stop this message from being displayed, scan and fix following the instructions given in the messages on the screen.
If you disconnect the USB cable, or eject the “Memory Stick Duo” from the camera, while the PMB Portable is running, this message may appear next time when you connect the computer with the camera, or insert the “Memory Stick Duo.”
If you want to disconnect the USB cable, or eject the “Memory Stick Duo,” close the PMB Portable, then disable the hardware by clicking [Safely Remove Hardware] ([Unplug or Eject Hardware] for Windows(R) 2000) beforehand.

Can I use the PMB Portable overseas?
The menu or messages of the PMB Portable may not be displayed correctly, depending on the OS language of the computer.
In this case, follow the steps below to select the language.
  1. Click [Settings…] in the PMB Portable start-up screen.
  2. Click [Language] to select [Show the language selection window the next time PMB Portable starts], then click [OK].
  3. Select [Computer] ([My Computer] for Windows XP) - [PMB Portable], then double-click [PMB_P.exe].
  4. The language selection window is displayed. Select the language, then click [OK].
