Editing an Image

Changing the color space for display

You can change the color space for display of the image to be edited. The changed settings are reflected on the RGB and Y values displayed on the status bar. They are also reflected when [Display clipped shadows], [Display clipped highlights], or [Display out-of-gamut colors] in the [Display Control] palette is checked.
In the Edit Mode, display the image, and then select [Color Space for Display] from the [View] menu, and then select either from [sRGB], [AdobeRGB], or [Wide Gamut RGB] according to the characteristics and purpose of the image.

  • sRGB: Uses a standard color space reflecting the profiles of a standard computer monitor.
  • AdobeRGB: Uses a wider color space than those sRGB uses. We suggest you select this option when you use an image for CMYK printing.
  • Wide Gamut RGB: Uses an even wider color space than those AdobeRGB uses. We suggest you select this option when you use an image for high-definition printing.
