You can perform general settings in the settings window displayed by selecting [Settings] in the [Tools] menu. You can perform the following settings in the settings window.
You can set whether to import videos and photos using “PlayMemories Home” when you connect the device to the computer. And you can also set the method used for importing videos and photos, the operation performed after importing videos and photos, and the destination folder for imported videos and photos, whether to import videos and photos automatically using Wi-Fi, or whether to retain a GPS track log, etc.
To view videos and photos on your computer, you must add the folders containing the videos and photos.
[Calendar view] | Select the day that you want to set as the first day of the week. You can select not to display times that do not contain videos or photos in day view. |
[Folders view] | You can select which items to be displayed in the detailed view. All items are checked by default. Click to clear the check marks from items you do not want to display. |
[Thumbnail] | You can select the information to be displayed under thumbnails. |
[Thumbnail display interval for expanded video] | You can set the time interval between thumbnails when a video is displayed as an expanded thumbnail list. |
You can change the buttons used to manipulate videos and photos displayed in the toolbar.
You can make the appropriate image conversion settings when you upload videos and photos.
[Reset hidden messages] | By clicking [Reset], you can clear the [Do not show this message again] check boxes from the dialog windows displayed during operation. |
[Automatic program updates] | If you put a check mark in this checkbox, the software update is confirmed automatically when you start “PlayMemories Home.” |
[Language settings] | You can change the language setting. |
[Location for temporary files] | You can change the location where temporary files are stored. |
[Location for custom property settings] | You can check the save location for data consisting of other than videos and photos, such as label names and date titles. |
[Hardware acceleration settings] |
By enabling use of hardware acceleration, the CPU load can be reduced. If some problems occur during playback of videos, or during disc creation, select [Use detected hardware acceleration] and click [Detect Automatically], or select [Disable hardware acceleration]. When you want to enable hardware acceleration to play back videos recorded in 1080/60p or 1080/50p, select [Use hardware acceleration to decode "HD PS" mode videos]. |
