Notes on registering videos and still images

For details on the basic operations for registering videos and still images, refer to the “Picture Motion Browser Guide” supplied with the software (“Picture Motion Browser Guide”).

• Media files saved in sub-folders inside the selected folder are also registered.
• The first time this program is run, a message is displayed indicating that the [My Pictures] folder is automatically registered for browsing.
• Information registration may take a long time (more than 10 minutes) if the selected folder and sub-folders contain a large number of media files.
• The folder selected to be used to import videos and still images is automatically registered. You cannot delete the folder that is registered here.
• File name limitations
  When saving images to registered folders, make sure that you do not save two different image files with names that are identical except for the file extensions. Doing so may cause the images to be displayed incorrectly.
• Viewed folder limitations
  The following folders cannot be registered as Viewed folders
  • Folders in removable disks
  • Folders including the folders set as Location for Imported Images
  • Network folders
  • Folders of camera
