Troubleshooting

	The Expand Videos function is not executed.
	The message [There is not enough free hard disk space to import the media files.] is shown, and still images and videos cannot be imported.
	An error occurred when [Safely Remove Hardware] is executed while the camera and the computer are being connected.
	When I connect the camera and the computer via the USB cable, or insert a recording medium into the computer, the software does not start importing images automatically.
	When I try to export media files to the camera, the error message [An unknown error occurred.] is displayed.
	I cannot send e-mails from the Picture Motion Browser.
	Media files exported from PMB cannot be played back properly on the camera
	I cannot send e-mails from [E-mail selected Map View].

	The Expand Videos function is not executed.

	Videos need analyzing in advance in order for you to use the Expand Videos function. Select [Tools] - [Analyze All Videos] to analyze all videos, or right-click each video and select [Analyze Videos]. Note The target video format of the Expand Videos function is the AVCHD 1080i format or MPEG2.

	The message [There is not enough free hard disk space to import the media files.] is shown, and still images and videos cannot be imported.

	The drive that is set for the still images and video files to be imported (default is C:Drive) does not have enough free space. Increase the free space in the drive to import to.

	An error occurred when [Safely Remove Hardware] is executed while the camera and the computer are being connected.

	In case the computer is recognizing the camera or the applications are recognizing the internal memory of the camera or "Memory Stick Duo," an error may occur if the [Safely Remove Hardware] ([Unplug or Eject Hardware] for Windows(R) 2000) is run. In this case, finish the running application or wait for some time and repeat the same step.

	Make sure if the is displayed on the task tray. If it is not displayed, select [Start] - [All Programs] ([Programs] for Windows(R) 2000) - [Sony Picture Utility] - [Tools] - [Media Check Tool]. Also, if the media files are stored on a disc medium such as a CD-R or DVD-R, the software does not import images automatically. In this case, select [Import Media Files] from the [File] menu, specify the drive in the [Import Media Files] window, and click [Import].

	When I try to export media files to the camera, the error message [An unknown error occurred.] is displayed.

	This error message is displayed when the media files you want to export are damaged. In that case, execute [Update Database] from the [Tools] menu before exporting the files.

	I cannot send e-mails from the Picture Motion Browser.

	Please check if the selected file is not RAW data. You cannot attach RAW data file to an e-mail. Also, check if MAPI is enabled in your e-mail software. (For details on MAPI, refer to the manual or help of your e-mail software.)

	Media files exported from PMB cannot be played back properly on the camera

	Media files may be played back by changing the image size to VGA or HDTV when exporting media files.

	MAPI must be enabled in your e-mail software for this feature to work. Refer to the user manual or help files of your e-mail software for more information about MAPI.
