When I connect the camera and the PC via the USB cable, or insert a recording medium into the PC, the software does not start importing images automatically.
Make sure if the is displayed on the task tray.
If it is not displayed, select [Start] - [All Programs] ([Programs] for Windows(R) 2000) - [Sony Picture Utility] - [Tools] - [Media Check Tool].
Also, if the media files are stored on a disc medium such as a CD-R or DVD-R, the software does not import images automatically. In this case, select [Import Media Files] from the [File] menu, specify the drive in the [Import Media Files] window, and click [Import].

When I try to export media files to the camera, the error message [An unknown error occurred.] is displayed.
This error message is displayed when the media files you want to export are damaged. In that case, execute [Update Database] from the [Tools] menu before exporting the files.

I cannot play back media files that have been exported to the camera.
When exporting media files, first confirm that there is a checkmark next to [Change image size of pictures] in [Change...].
If there is no checkmark, insert one before exporting any more media files.

I cannot send e-mails from the Picture Motion Browser.
Please check if the selected file is not RAW data. You cannot attach RAW data file to an e-mail.
Also, check if MAPI is enabled in your e-mail software. (For details on MAPI, refer to the manual or help of your e-mail software.)
