Can the computer that does not meet required operation environment be used?
Can the Sonic UDF Reader only be installed?
Can a previously recorded “Memory Stick Duo” be used when it is inserted into the Memory Stick slot of the computer?



Can the computer that does not meet required operation environment be used?
Some functions are available. Pentium III 1GHz or higher will suffice for the following operations.
  • Import the contents into the computer
  • One Touch Disc Burn
  • Create the AVCHD/DVD disc
  • Copy the disc
  • When you use the contents with SD (standard definition) image quality

Can the Sonic UDF Reader only be installed?
You can use the following steps to install the Sonic UDF Reader only.
  1. Set the supplied CD-ROM into your computer drive.
    2. Installation screen of the application starts.
  2. Click [Exit] at the lower right corner of the installation screen to finish the installation screen.
  3. Double-click [My Computer].
  4. Right-click [SONYPICTUTIL], and select [Open] in the displayed menu.
  5. Open the folders [DIApp] - [UDFReader], and double-click [Setup.exe] in the [UDFReader] folder.
  6. Installation of the Sonic UDF Reader starts. Follow the instructions on the screen to install. This ends the installation of the Sonic UDF Reader.

Note

Installation is not required on the Windows Vista.

Can a previously recorded “Memory Stick Duo” be used when it is inserted into the Memory Stick slot of the computer?
Yes, you can use it if the Memory Stick slot of your computer is compatible with a “Memory Stick Duo.” If you use “Memory Stick PRO Duo,” the Memory Stick slot of your computer needs to be compatible with a “Memory Stick PRO Duo.”

If the Memory Stick slot of your computer is not compatible with a “Memory Stick Duo” and a “Memory Stick PRO Duo,” or if your computer does not recognize the “Memory Stick Duo” and the “Memory Stick PRO Duo,” connect the camcorder and the computer using the USB connection cable.

* Please contact the manufacturer of your computer to confirm whether the Memory Stick slot of your computer is compatible with a “Memory Stick Duo” and a “Memory Stick PRO Duo” or not.
