The shooting date was changed in the Picture Motion Browser, but it is not reflected in the Calendar view.
When the shooting date was changed on the condition that Calendar view is displayed, it is not soon reflected on the display.
In order to be reflected on the display, press the [F5] key on the keyboard to update the screen.

Media files were added or deleted in the registered folder, but they are not reflected in the view.
Select [Update Database] in the [Tools] menu, to update the database.

The thumbnail of a media file is shown in [x], and the media file cannot be viewed.
The [x] is displayed when you move the registered folder or change the name of folder. Select [Update Database] in the [Tools] menu, to update the database.

Why are the dates of the imported media files shown on the Calendar view different from the dates of the actual recording?
This happens when the clock of the camera is not set correctly. Check the clock setting of your camera.

You can change the recording dates that were originally recorded for the media files using the Picture Motion Browser.
Use the following steps to change the date.
  1. Select the media file for which you want to change the date.
  2. Click the first media file, and press and hold the [Shift] key to click the last media file, in order to select a series of media files in the media file display area of the main screen.
    To select multiple media files that are not serial, press and hold the [Ctrl] key to click.
  3. Select [Batch Date Change] in the [Manipulate] menu.
  4. Correct the date.

When there is only one media file to be corrected, you can use the following methods to change it.
  1. Select the media file for which you want to change the date, in the media file display area.
  2. Right-click to select [Media File Information] in the displayed menu.
  3. The [Media File Information] screen is shown.
  4. Change [Date Taken].
  5. Select the shooting date from the calendar that is displayed by clicking .
    Specify the shooting time by entering in the spin box or clicking or .
  6. Press the [Enter] key, or click anywhere other than the spin box, and close the [Media File Information] screen.

When the Map View is launched, the dialog [Connection to the server has failed.] appears.
Check if your computer is connected to the internet, and you can view the homepage on the internet through the Internet Explorer.
When you use the personal firewall of security software, make sure if the Map View is permitted in the setting of firewall. For detailed information, please refer to the user's manual of your security software.

An error appears when the Map View is launched.
When there are more than 20 still images to be displayed, an error may be shown.

The menus and messages of the Picture Motion Browser are partly missing, or garbled.
This may occur depending on the font type and size used, or the resolution setting of the computer screen. If this is the case, the situation will be improved by changing the font setting, and changing the Regional and Language Options (Regional Options for Windows(R) 2000) to the standard setting.

Picture Motion Browser does not work properly.
If free codecs or codec packs are installed in the computer, the following symptoms may occur.
  • AVCHD videos cannot be converted to MPEG2 or WMV videos
  • Videos cannot be edited
  • Videos cannot be played back
  • AVCHD discs cannot be played back
  • AVCHD or DVD-Video discs cannot be created
  • Thumbnails for some file formats are displayed as
  • OS automatically shuts down
  • Videos cannot be imported
  • Video analysis fails
  • The Runtime error occurs when launching Picture Motion Browser
These symptoms can be corrected by uninstalling the free codecs or codec packs.
