Handycam Utility
When the media files are imported by using the Handycam Utility, can the folder to import them in be changed?
When the media files recorded on the camcorder are previewed using the Handycam Utility, the video pictures are shaky.
Can recorded media files be deleted using the Handycam Utility?



When the media files are imported by using the Handycam Utility, can the folder to import them in be changed?
If you want to change the location to import media files in, click [Change...] in the [Media File Import] of [Handycam Utility], and click [Change...] in the displayed window.

When the media files recorded on the camcorder are previewed using the Handycam Utility, the video pictures are shaky.
If the USB terminal of your computer does not comply with the USB2.0 (Hi-Speed), the media files recorded on the camcorder may not be played back normally because of insufficient transmission speed.

In this case, import the media files recorded on the camcorder to your computer, and play them on the computer.

Can recorded media files be deleted using the Handycam Utility?
Media files recorded on the camcorder hard disk and the internal memory can be deleted.
Media files recorded on the "Memory Stick Duo" cannot be deleted.

Operating procedures:
Operate in the following procedures when you delete media files.
  1. Connect your computer and camcorder via a USB connection cable.
    2. The [USB SELECT] is displayed on the LCD screen of camcorder.
  2. Touch [USB CONNECT] or [USB CONNECT].
    3. [Handycam Utility] is displayed on the computer screen.
    * If the [Handycam Utility] is not displayed, start it from the start menu.
  3. Click [Delete Media Files from Handycam] in the menu on the left side of the displayed screen.
  4. The media files recorded on the camcorder are shown on the right side of the displayed screen.
  5. Click and check the media files that you want to delete.
    * The media files are shown separately in [Video] and [Picture].
    You can switch back and forth by clicking the tab at the top of the screen.
  6. Click [Delete] on the lower right of the screen.

With above procedures, the media files recorded in the camcorder can be deleted using your computer.

Displayed screens or operating procedures may differ depending on the operating system you are using.
